MetStats

Using statistics to answer Mets related questions

About Us

B P:
I frequent a lot of forums. I enjoy discussing the Mets and baseball in general. However one of my hobbies is looking at baseball statistics. I believe using numbers can be a very powerful thing. It does not always tell the entire story, but it does separate things from what we remember to what actually happened. Since I already make posts at forums using statistics for most of my arguments I figure I may as well post them on a blog as well. So that’s how this blog came about.

Dylan Nagy:
I became a baseball fan at the age of 11, watching the 2000 playoffs, and have developed a greater interest in the intricacies of the game ever since. My interests are most focused on player development, batting analysis, and transaction analysis. I have a background in Journalism and I am currently working with a minor league baseball team (in the New York — Penn. League) for the second consecutive season. I avidly collect baseball memorabilia, and enjoy traveling to see minor league and major league baseball games.
